A former head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) has urged Nigerians to keep hope alive as security agencies are working tirelessly towards bringing an end to the current security challenges bedeviling the country.
Abdulsalami said this at the Minna Eid praying ground after performing the two rakaat prayer for Eid el fitr.

He however urged Nigerians to keep praying and hoping that the solution to the problem is very close and that the problem would soon be overcome and become a history.
He added that to achieve this there is the need for Nigerans to support security forces who are out there helping the nation to enable them succeed.
Abdulsalami who called for collective efforts in the fight against crime however commended the security agencies, federal and state governments as well as other stakeholders for their efforts aimed at ensuring peace in Nigeria.
Deputy Governor of Niger state, Ahmed Mohammed Ketso who assured Nigerlites of the present administration’s resolve to bring an end to the current security challenges bedeviling people of the state.
Former Niger state Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu also advised Muslims to put into practice what they have learnt during the Ramadan fast and expressed confidence that the current security challenges is surmountable.
