Sallah: Jos Chief Imam advocates forgiveness, tolerance

Sheikh Adam who led a mammoth crowd of worshipers at the Ali Kazaure Jos Central Eid prayer ground, said that the essence of Eid -el- Adha is to thank Allah and soberly reflect on past happenings, saying, “It is expected that every Muslim will extend the spirit of love to other people in upholding the virtues of peace, forgiveness, tolerance and patience”.
He reminded those in leadership to be conscious of the fact that they are servants of Allah and their subjects too.
“Certainly you will one day be asked to give account of your deeds. You are expected to be just and fair to your subjects. It is a responsibility of everyone of us to uphold the virtues of good neighborliness as well as ensure proper education of our children and also give them proper moral ethical values” he added.
He also admonished youths to shun all forms violence, intake of illicit drugs, urging them to be obedient and respect to constituted authority.
