Salesgirl remanded for theft

A salesgirl at Karami Plaza of Malam Kato square has been remanded in prison custody over alleged theft of N300,000 from her manager.

The court prosecutor, Inspector Sani Musa told the court that sometimes in August 2018, one Mr Uche Nnabuka of no 26 Okene street, No Man’s Land in Kano state reported to police that his salesgirl, one Marina Ogar of No 57 Onitsha road Sabon Gari quarters, had fraudulently stole his N300,000.

The accused person pleaded not guilty to one count charge of theft which contradicts section 289 of Penal Code Law.

The presiding judge of court No 16 No Man’s Land, Chief Magistrate Ibrahim Khaleel Mahmood ordered that the accused to be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case to 25/3/2019.
