President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the National Salaries and Wages Commission to come up with revised salary/allowances for the police officers.
Buhari, who was represented by the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, disclosed this in Kano during the passing out parade of 418 officers of the 3rd Regular Course Cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano.

The president stressed the commitment of his government to sustain the recruitment of 10,000 Police personnel annually to address the manpower shortage in the Police Force.
He disclosed that a Police Public Complaint Committee, domiciled in the Ministry of Police Affairs has been resuscitated with the mandate to receive complaints from the general public on cases of abuse and maltreatment by Police Officers.
