The Deputy National Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) South, Chief Emma Eneukwu, has faulted the slogan, ‘Enugu State is in the Hand of God’ by the Peoples Democratic Party-led Enugu State government, describing it as deceitful and misleading to the masses.

He declared that instead, Enugu State is in the hands of “tyrants and emperors” who he alleged, “have colonised the state for their selfish interests.”

He said APC would win the entire South East in the 2023 general elections, but insisted that “since charity begins at home, we shall begin with Enugu State by taking over the government house come 2023.”

He urged all party members in the state to work hard as one family so as to actualize the objective of winning Enugu State and ushering in a new and better leadership that would make the welfare of the citizens its top priority.

He spoke when the Enugu State chairman of the party, Chief Ugochukwu Agballah, led other state chairmen of the party and thousands of other party faithful in the zone to welcome him at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

“We have come to take over Enugu State; to give Enugu a new leadership. We are here to give South East and the entire southern Nigeria a new leadership. But charity begins at home. We will start it with Enugu State,” he said.
