Prior to the unfortunate war between Russia and Ukraine, many local and global issues have hitherto remained opaque to our ordinary understanding of international relations for many years.
The war in Ukraine however had helped in unravelling some of those knotty issues. First it exposed Europe as an empty and barren land whose existence is solely based on the magnanimity of Russia and African resource for without Russia and Africa, Europe and Europeans will starve and freeze to death in a sub-zero temperature.
Indeed, we now know that without wheat grown in super abundance in Russia, the Europeans, and most part of Africa and Middle east will starve to death.
And as Africans, we have come to the understanding that ‘Survival’ was the reason why Europeans countries are scrambling for Africa’s resources through legit and illegitimate ways…That the general strife and insecurity across the African countries; especially in resources rich African Nations are purposely meant to extract the much needed resources.
In retrospect and painfully, we now know why many patriotic and revolutionary leaders in Africa got summarily eliminated, and why corrupt African leaders last longer than necessary in power.
Quite gratifyingly however, some African countries, have begun to realized how to survived against the rampaging resources starved Europeans nations, and that they desperately needed Russia to be closer to them in other to be able to survive the current scramble by the desperado European nations.
As Nigerians too, we have now come to realize the wisdom behind federal Government Policy on Agriculture and backward integration effort which had assisted tremendously in shielding our beloved country from the current global hunger. One can imagine the catastrophe that could have enveloped our dear nation had the federal government shied away from aggressive pursuit of agriculture especially in this perilous time.
We must give it to the federal government that her agricultural policy is working and has prevented us from joining the league of beggar nations in Europe and some part of Africa, for the Almighty Russia to help us feed ourselves in a condescending manner.
Again Nigerians realized too the importance of the federal government policy on Gas transmission across the country, especially the on-going Abuja-Kano gas pipeline. Honestly, prior to the Russia-Ukraine war, and seeing how Europe have suddenly come to the brink of collapse due to the closure of Russia’s Nord stream 1 gas pipeline; It came into public understanding that the AKK Projects and similar ones across the country by President Buhari Government are worth the while for the survival of Nigeria and the world. We thought, it was a white elephant projects similar to many across the country, but now, not at all.
It is no longer in doubt that, the whole world needed Russia, more than Russia needed the world. And for the world to live happily and peacefully, we need a multi-polar world to checkmate the excesses of one another, and on this thread; Russia/China deserved our support.
