Rovingheights bookshop is set to host Otunba Akin Alabi, author of ‘Small Business, Big Money’ and founder of NairaBET.com.

The event, scheduled to hold on July 1, in Abuja will include a book signing session, reading and discussion on how to start, grow and run a successful business.

On his website, Alabi said he wrote the book because he gets asked a lot of questions from aspiring and existing entrepreneurs about how they can make money from their businesses.

“They ask me because I was once like them,” he wrote. “I started small and grew to where I am today. In this book, I shared all the things that I did that helped me along the way. The book has been described as the best small business and marketing book ever written by a Nigerian.

“In Small Business Big Money, I shared how I started my business career with almost nothing and how I built it to become an empire that it has become.”

In the book, Alabi shared tips like how to decide on the kind of business one should do, why one should not sell what people need to buy and how it can run you out of business, the full story of how he pioneered the multi billion naira sports betting industry in Nigeria, and more.

Alabi is the founder of NairaBET.com, Nigeria’s first sports bookmaking company. His book, ‘Small Business, Big Money’, has been described by founder of Hotels.NG, Mark Essien, as “filled with practical advice, written in a plain, direct language.”
