Okon promised to render his best to ensure strategic goals which were set for the year, with specific emphasis on the 7 Focus Areas of rotary, are met.
“As we set out for this new year, I urge us all to open our hearts to people in need by sharing our three T’s: Time, Talent, Treasures with the less fortunate; so that collectively we can impact lives in the communities that we serve.
“This year, in order to make a difference, we have highlighted projects that align with Rotary’s area of focus. One of the things we want to do is take children off the streets and make life comfortable for them. We want to pay WAEC and JAMB fees for as much as 50 children. We also take the bright ones and try to pay their tuition fees in Government owned universities.” Edwin said.
The immediate past President of the club, Ikpunekhai Osi-Evans, highlighted the impact of the club in the host community.
He said, “Going into schools, we provided computer sets for Ojodu schools, both primary and secondary; We also provided books and shelves for the schools.”
