Armed robbers on Wednesday attacked a bullion van at Emure-Ile in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State and shot a policeman in the process.
This is the second time such an attack would happen within one month in the state.
Ondo State Police Command confirmed the attack.
The command’s spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami, said the robbers were disappointed when they discovered that the bullion van was empty.
She also confirmed that a policeman was shot during the attack.
The police officer is receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital, she added.
