Robber, cultist nabbed in Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested one Francis Obina Okoye (22) with arms and ammunition by the Ovia River on the Benin-Lagos highway.

The command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, explained that operatives stopped a commercial bus driven by the suspect, and that during a search one Branil pistol with nine rounds of ammunition and one POS machine were recovered from him.

In a similar incident, Nwabuzor said the policemen from the Evbotubu Division, on April 12, at the Luciano Hotel on Ekhuan Road, Ogbiyokho, Benin City, arrested a suspected cultist, Endurance Ezeigbe Otansowe, with a gun following an intelligence report.
