Kwara United were forced to a goalless draw by Rivers United in a rescheduled NPFL Matchday 23 fixture at the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin.
The visitors had control of the game as good passage of attacking play freed Andy Okpe on the flank but his cross found Kazie Enyinnaya whose shot went begging in the 19th minute.
The hosts had a good chance in the 39th minute as a brilliant attacking move by the home side created a shooting chance for Emmanuel Ogbole who directed his shot off target from close range.
In the first half, the hosts created nine chances with just one shot on target while Rivers United had three goal attempts with none on target.

In the second half, Kwara United were on the brink of opening the scoring in the 70th minute but Shola Abdulraheen aimed his shot against the woodwork.
The ‘Afonja Warriors’ as the Kwara United are known are placed 13th on the table with 41 points while Rivers United are 11th on the same number of points.
Meanwhile, Daniel Igali is optimistic Bayelsa United will maintain their top-flight status at the end of the current season.
Igali gave the assurance at his office when the board of Bayelsa United paid him a courtesy visit in honour of his reappointment as Commissioner of Sports Development in the State.
