Despite the draw, Rivers United maintained the top spot with 21 points while Remo Stars who suffered a shock 0-1 loss at Heartland are in second position with 18 points.

Afolayan Temitope Peters’ solitary strike in the 71st minute was the winner for the struggling ‘Naze millionaires’ of Owerri who have moved out of the drop zone.

In Aba, new boys Ikorodu City were heading to a historic draw against Enyimba before Moses Adikwu grabbed the match winner at the death.

Ifeanyi Ihemekwele gave the ‘Peoples Elephants’ the lead as early as the 6th minute but Toyeeb Ajeyigbe drew Ikorodu City level in the 90th minute. However, Adikwu broke the visitors’ heart with the winning goal in added time.
