Rivers State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bro Felix Obuah, has enjoined Muslims in the state to continue to observe the principle of piety as symbolized by Islam.
He also urged them to continue to show love, co-operation and tolerance to other religions.
The PDP chairman stated this yesterday, in a solidarity message signed by his special adviser on media, Jerry Needam, to commemorate the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
He said the season offers yet another opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on their relationship with God and fellow human beings.
“The reflection is to ensure that we make the best use of the life we live today to make our society a better place for all.”
Obuah also enjoined all to join hands in the spirit of the Eid-El-Kabir to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nyesom Wike to actualize their development plans.
“We wish to reassure you of government’s good intentions and plans to promote the welfare of all persons and groups among whom the Muslims are the top priority in the state,” he said.
