The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has called the nation’s attention to the leadership crisis in Rivers State, saying the state is sitting on a keg of gunpowder.
At a press briefing in Abuja, the APC chieftain spoke on the imperative of revisiting the president’s intervention for progress in the state.
Speaking on the state’s 2024 budget, Okocha said the process of budget making must be complete, but how could the governor present a budget of N800 billion to a four-man House of Assembly instead of the 31-man House of Assembly?

When asked for his advice and the way forward for Rivers State, he said, “The way to go about this is what we are doing right now. I would advise the governor to close his ears to mediocre and mediocrity.”
