Five states have called on the federal government to pay them N148 billion in refund for road projects they have executed on federal roads in their states.
The states are Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, Ondo and Osun.
The request was made through a letter to the House of Representatives read on the floor by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila on Tuesday.
In the letter, the states disclosed that, they are being owed various sums by the federal government totalling N148 billion which has not been paid.
They further disclosed that, they executed the road projects based on the agreement with the federal government that, they would be reimbursed later.
They however lamented that, since the execution of the projects they are yet to.be paid and the delay is affecting them.
