Ahead of tomorrow’s presidential inauguration, the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a prayer session in Abuja for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima to succeed as they take the reins of power.
The APC group, under the leadership of Tony Ochocha, the national director of the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council (TSGICC), conducted the prayer session at the Unity Fountain, Abuja on Saturday.
In his remarks, Ochocha said the prayer coincided with Rivers State Day celebration and they felt that one of the ways to identify with their principal (Tinubu) was to pray for him as he becomes president.
He said that since 2015, Rivers had been in opposition at the national level but in the incoming administration, the state would be connected to the centre, which he said would bring about more development and dividends of democracy to the people.
