Rivers State chapter of the APC says its candidates will participate in both Saturday’s National Assembly and state assembly elections.
The publicity secretary of the party, Chris Finebone, at a press briefing in Port Harcourt, yesterday, said the Appeal Court’s stay of execution order subsisted.
Finebone said both the Appeal and Supreme Court orders did not direct INEC to exclude the name of APC from participating in the general elections.
He, therefore, urged INEC to adhere strictly to the stay of execution order of the Appeal Court and return the name of the party to the ballot paper.
“We urged INEC to be law abiding and return our party to its original place. We are only demanding a right to compete and nothing more. The stay of execution order subsists,” he stated.
