City & Crime learnt that after the burial on Friday around 12pm, the children of the deceased waited in the compound to receive sympathisers till 5pm.
A source said the children were however informed on Saturday morning by their neighbours that the corpse of their father had been taken away by ritualists.
A son of the diseased, Adeola Olalekan, told City & Crime that it was strange to them when they received a phone call on Saturday morning that the head of their late father had been cut off overnight.
Olalekan said, “It is unfortunate; we left our family house where my father was buried around 5pm on Friday to our various houses.
“I was with my grandmother on Saturday morning when I received a call that my father’s grave had been dismantled and his head and intestines taken away. The strange thing about it is that people in the compound of the grave said they didn’t hear any strange sound or movement in the night.”
Reacting to the incident, the state’s police spokesman, Adewale Osifeso, said the public would soon be updated on the matter.
