Director-General, National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman, has expressed concern over the rising debt profile of Nigeria and some other African countries.
According to him, this is unhealthy for the nations.
Sulaiman, who is a former Minister of National Planning, spoke on Monday in Lagos, during the West African regional parliaments’ conference on climate change. The conference was organised by NILDS and Agnes.
He urged Nigeria and other African countries to collaborate with other continents to adopt policies on climate change adaptation and mitigation.
