Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Federal Capital Territory chapter, Mustapha Mubdiyu, says the 1976 master plan of the FCT is long overdue for a review.
He said this at a press conference in Abuja yesterday ahead of the 2022 Town Planners’ Day.

He noted that with the high rate of population growth, cities in Nigeria are faced with socio-economic and environmental challenges.
He said to address the myriad of growing urban challenges, Abuja, like many other Nigerian cities, required an efficient, credible and equitable system of urban governance.
