Revenue generation: AMAC chairman reads riot act

The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has vowed to deal decisively with any staff, department or agency, under his supervision, aiming to sabotage the efforts of the government in scaling up its internal revenue generation.

He gave the warning while speaking to heads of departments and staff of the revenue department of the council at the weekend.

Maikalangu also frowned at the lukewarm attitude of some revenue-based technical consultants in driving the process.

He warned that he would deploy all constitutional means to punish any staff or tech consultant under his supervision that failed to comply with the renewed vigour of the new AMAC administration to boost its revenue base.
