According to the state police commissioner, Augustine Evbakhabokun, the restriction is meant to prevent movement into the state.
He said the state police command is fully ready and prepared to repeat what they did in the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti state and that anybody that is arrested would be punish.
Speaking at a press briefing in Osogbo, the commissioner said the restriction is between 6 am to 6 pm today.
He said the police is not imposing curfew but a restriction to forestall any bad intentions by the supporters of political parties.
As early as 3 pm yesterday, many streets in Osogbo, the state capital have been deserted as many residents rushed to their respective homes in order to beat the Police deadline.
