When City & Crime visited the community, it was observed that some of the inhabitants had started dumping refuse inside the vehicle.

A resident, Mr Abolore, said, “The vehicle has been abandoned since last week and the people have now started using it as a refuse dump.”

When contacted, an official of the Ministry of Environment in charge of waste management, who confided in our correspondent, said the delay in getting experts to fix it caused the situation.

“Yes, it’s true; it’s the challenge of getting those that specialise in repairs that is causing the delay.

“But we appeal to the residents of the area to desist from using it as a refuse dump,” he said.
