Residents of Shepwopkma area, around City College in Karu Local Government of Nasarawa State have lamented over the bad state of roads in the community and have appealed to the government to come to their aid.
 According to some of the residents the roads are so bad, they have damaged dozens of cars.
 Alhaji Abdulraheem Rasheed, who plies the road, recounted his daily experience thus: “The challenges we have been having on this road are so many and it is a terrible experience having to ply it every day. I spend almost all my income to repair my car every month because of the bad roads. All the three roads that lead to the area are all bad,” he said.
Mrs. Hafsat Adeola also said the road from Old Karu road junction to the community is even worse and those of them living in the area have been suffering so much. “These roads have been totally ruined and the impact is telling on us greatly,” she said.
 Another resident Mr. Paul Ejike, who described the state of the roads as “deplorable and a nightmare,” used the opportunity to appeal to the Nasarawa State government to help in repairing the roads.
