An early morning tanker explosion razed down houses, vehicles and left two persons injured in Ibafo, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Wednesday.
Our correspondent gathered that the tanker carrying petrol went up in flames in the community along the Lagos/ Ibadan expressway.
Eyewitnesses said the tanker, which had suffered tyre burst, fell and spilled it content.
The truck eventual exploded and destroyed houses and vehicles nearby, a witness said.

At least five vehicles including trucks were destroyed while two persons sustained injuries.
The petrol spill was said to have passed through a drainage system that led to a community about one kilometre from the expressway.
The impact of the fire was evident, with several buildings suffering shattered windows, damaged roofs, and cracked walls.
Confirming the incident in Abeokuta, the Spokesman of the Ogun state-owned Traffic Compliance and Enforcement, Babatunde Akinbiyi, said no life was lost in the incident.
He explained that the spilt content was said to have resulted in a fire that quickly spread to vehicles parked at a filling station.
The Police Spokesman, Omolola Odutola, also confirmed incident, saying the tanker driver sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.
“The fire reached the Osadol Petrol Station, damaging two trucks parked outside.
“At the time of the incident, the fire service was contacted, but community members and police officers managed to bring the fire under control while awaiting their arrival. The truck driver has been taken to Real Divine Touch Hospital in Ibafo for medical treatment,” Odutola said.
