Residents flee homes as Boko Haram attack village near Maiduguri

Scores of civilians are fleeing their homes as Boko Haram insurgents are currently attacking a community near Maiduguri, Borno state capital, a local source said.
 
Residents of Polo area and Giwa Barracks are leaving their homes as a result of gunfire exchange near the area.
 
Ba’ Modu, a residents of Polo told our reporter that there is confusion in Bale Shuwari about 2 kilometers away to the area as a result.
 
“We are running now, there is heavy gunfire going on at Bale Shuwari. As I am speaking to you, there is confusion everywhere, ” Modu told Daily Trust via Phone.
