Residents flee as bandits attack Plateau villages

Residents of Gimbi village and neighbouring communities in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State are currently fleeing the area for fear of bandits’ attacks.

A resident, Ubale Musa, told Daily Trust that the residents were fleeing following attacks on neighbouring communities of Shegyam and Dogon Ruwa where three people were killed and hundreds of cattle rustled.

Musa said, “Since Thursday residents of the area have been fleeing. As I am talking to you now, the remaining ones are packing to other safer areas, but security personnel have been deployed in the area.”
