Residents break into Anambra COVID-19 palliatives warehouse

Protesters in Anambra state on Saturday defied a curfew to break into a warehouse where COVID-19 palliatives were stored.

The protesters numbering about 2,000 stormed the  State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) office in Agu Awka, Government House with Army and  security men watching.

Cartons of noodles were stored in the warehouse as palliatives to have been distributed during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The protesters claimed that state government had planned to use the items for campaign in 2021.
