The police in Edo State, in collaboration with vigilantes, have rescued a kidnap victim, Okunbor Osaigbovo, in a bush in Okada, Ovia North West LGA.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the rescue, said that operatives from Okada Division were carrying out a bush combing exercise to make sure that the criminals didn’t make the bush their abode when they rescued the victim.

Speaking on the killing of a Catholic priest, Rev Fr Charles Igechi, SP Chidi said the command had commenced a manhunt for the killers and assured that they would be arrested and brought to justice.
City & Crime reports that the priest was killed by gunmen on June 8, on the Benin-Agbor road in the Ikhueniro axis of Benin.
