Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have rescued a kidnapped victim after the payment of a N700,000 ransom to his abductors.
City & Crime reports that the spokesman of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday in Asaba, said the operatives neutralised one of the abductors while the others escaped.
He said that the victim who had since been reunited with his family, disclosed that he was kidnapped on Jakpa Road, Warri, on Saturday, July 29, at about 9pm.
He noted that the victim had already paid a N700,000 ransom to his abductors’ account through bank transfer before he was rescued by the police.
