The House of Representatives Committee on Aviation Technology has warned critical stakeholders in Aviation industries against compromising safety standards that may jeopardize the sector across the country.
Chairman of the Committee on Aviation, Thomas Eriyetomi gave the warning at an interactive session with the Management staff of the Federal College of Aviation Technology Zaria and other stakeholders on Thursday.
Members of the Committee lamented that students of Aviation College Zaria are being delayed for three or more years on a course that should have been for two years.
Earlier, the Rector of the College, Capt. Modibbo Alkali had informed the lawmakers about their funding challenge.
He explained that though their training times take longer than usual, students that graduated from the college are doing extremely well.
