The House of Representatives yesterday urged the Chief of Defence Staff, the Director-General of State Security Service and the Inspector-General of Police to increase security in Jos North Local Government Area and its environs in order to stop incessant kidnappings and killings in the area.
The call followed the adoption of a motion by the member representing Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency of Plateau State, Muhammad Adam Alkali.

Alkali said there were reported cases of alleged extra-judicial killings by security operatives as well as other killings in Jos and environs over time.
