The House of Representatives is to  donate the sum of N5 million to the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
The donation was coming on the heels of the N10 million donation made by President Muhammadu Buhari for the same purpose on Monday at the official unveiling of the 2016 emblem in Abuja.
Consequently, the House at yesterday’s plenary took the decision to donate N5 million as a chamber of the National Assembly after adopting a motion by House Leader Femi Gbajabiamila.
Gbajabiamila said each member of the House would contribute the sum of N10, 000 which would be N3.6 million, while the balance of N1.4 million would be completed by the 10 principal officers of the House.
