Addressing a press conference yesterday in Abuja, Jibrin said it is only when the five other contenders that are challenging him open up that Nigerians would know the plans each of them has for the country.
He said as a contender, he believes in ingenuity and originality, saying he should not be the only contender to be telling Nigerians his plans if elected speaker.
“I’m trying to open up debate so that Nigerians will hear from every contender. Every contender should be able to discuss his plans for the country,” he said.
The five other contenders are Minority Leader Femi Gbajabiamila, Yakubu Dogara, Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Pally Iriase and Israel Ajibola Femurewa.
