The House of Representatives Adhoc Technical Committee on Tank Farms, Petrol and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Stations Compliance, has expressed dissatisfaction with non-compliance, discovered in some facilities.
The committee which visited Katsina, led by its co-chairman, Mariam Onuoha, however assured Nigerians on their safety, as well as safe environmental practices by the operators.

During its assessment, the team found out that some safety precautions were not met and tasked the owners on the need to operate by regulatory requirements and approvals, or face sanctions.
The participants pledged to give their maximum cooperation to the committee, to achieve its stated goal of bringing about a safer environment.
