The House of Representatives has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, and the Nigerian Army as well as the Department of State Services to collaborate and bring to book the perpetrators of the killings in Ambe community of Gwantu, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The call followed the adoption of a motion on matters of urgent public importance moved by Rep. Daniel Amos at the plenary on Tuesday.
Presenting the motion, Amos said around 7pm on Sunday, May 5, two unknown gunmen on motorcycles stormed the venue of a birthday party celebration of an aged person in Ambe community and killed six people and injured many.
Rep. Amos informed that the youths of the area summoned courage and apprehended one of the gunmen and handed him over to the soldiers on special duty at Gwantu.

The lawmaker added that some of the victims are currently receiving treatment at the University Teaching Hospital, Jos.
