An explosion has been reported in Lagos, suspected to be from a pipeline, in Abule Ado.
The incident, which happened at about 9 a.m. Sunday, sent residents fleeing for safety.
Several houses were affected, including a girls’ Catholic boarding school. It is still unclear if there is any fatality.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said an emergency team was heading to the location of the explosion.
And the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) was said to have shut down the pipeline and its officials were heading to the scene of the explosion.
I just witnessed an explosion this morning. I was at 23 road, Festac Town at that time. Everywhere around me shook so hard and my ears went numb in an instant.
Pls anyone living around 7th Avenue and Alakija area should be careful. I pray there are no casualties??

My mum’s church Trem 7th AVE was affected the waves and sound shook the building and shattered all the glasses and the part of the ceilings.

Sadly there are casualties… There’s a boarding school close to the area(Bethlehem I think) children are dead and some are under the rubble
