The Director General of National Directorate of Employment, Abubakar Fikpo, has asked beneficiaries to repay their loans on time to allow other unemployed people to benefit.
The DG made the appeal when he disbursed a facility of N1.5 million and N500,000 respectively to two and seven beneficiaries in Maiduguri, under Micro-business Enterprise and Poverty Alleviation programme.

Fikpo, represented by the Borno State Coordinator of NDE, Mohammed Gaji Galadima, said the loan was meant to expand small businesses, which would in turn have a multiplier effect on the nation’s economy.
“Paying off your loans on time would give NDE the opportunity to create more jobs through empowering Nigerians, and lift many people out of poverty,” he said.
