The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Sam Onuigbo, has built four blocks of classrooms for 72-year-old Ekebedi Community School, Ala-ala Oboro, Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State.
Inaugurating the project Thursday, the lawmaker disclosed that he decided to embark on the project after his election campaign at the school in 2019 was disrupted by rain.

“We ran inside the classrooms to take cover but we were drenched because of the leaky roofs,” he recalled.
Onuigbo said six blocks of classrooms were captured in the budget for the school as part of his constituency project but regretted that the contractor who was awarded the project by the federal government only managed to build four blocks of classrooms.
The lawmaker further lamented that the contractor abandoned the project, hence his decision to complete it with his personal resources.
