Kwande who declared his interest at the Jos North LGA secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said he decided to declare his intention to re-contest his seat in 2015 after consultations with his constituents.
He said going to the House of Reps will consolidate the experience gathered during his first time and accord him the opportunity to continue to bring development and good representation to his people.
Kwande said he was not allowed enough time to harness the potential of bringing federal projects to his constituency because he has been battling at the court.
He said even with those challenges he was able to impact positively on his constituency, adding that there is need for continuity.
“I have garnered enough experience now. As first timer at the House of Reps you cannot be principal officer, chairman or deputy of a committee.”
Plateau State Secretary of APC, Bashir Musa Sati, said the party will ensure that internal democracy is entrenched, adding, “no influential force from anywhere will dictate to the party or tamper with the party’s principle. We will ensure that every party member has the franchise to vote and his vote will count.”
Kwande will slug it out with other aspirants including former Minister of State for Information and Communication, Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande and Yusuf Umar Dauda in the APC.
