Rep gives laptops to best students in Borno

The member representing Maiduguri Metropolitan Council in the House of Representatives, Abdulkadir Rahis, has distributed laptops to 60 best students in four higher institutions in the state.

The lawmaker also targeted 300 students for N50,000 scholarship.

The lawmaker, who flagged off the distribution of food and non-food items in Maiduguri weekend, also distributed water pumps to irrigation farmers, sewing machines and generating sets to hundreds of his constituents.

Presenting the laptops to the students on behalf of the lawmaker, Mustapha Loskuri, said the gesture came at the appropriate time when the less privileged were faced with the effect of subsidy removal across 15 wards of the constituency.
