Member representing Okene-Ogori/Magongo Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Ahmed Tijani Damisa, has empowered 100 youth and women drawn from his constituency.
The programme, which was held at Okengwe in Okene LGA of the state, was organized by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture/Rural Development; Federal College of Cooperative Studies Oji River, Enugu State, in collaboration with Jatplus Global Venture Limited.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the consultant of the programme, Dr Oloruntoba Ayinla, said the beneficiaries were youth and women selected from Otoyi, Ozuja and Ageva communities in the constituency to benefit from the 2021 zonal intervention project of the lawmaker.
He said the beneficiaries of this empowerment were artisans who have acquired skills in their chosen trade but lack the financial strength to buy working tools to commence their work.
In his remark, Hon Damisa, who was represented at the event by Adams Ibrahim Kadoka described the empowerment programme as a way forward for the beneficiaries and assured the people of the area that he would not rest on his oars in ensuring that life becomes better for them.
