A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ibaji, Idah, Igalamela/Idolu Federal Constituency of Kogi State, David Idris Zacharias, has facilitated the training of 240 youths and women in various skills in the state.
The training was hosted by the National Institute of Construction Technology and Management in collaboration with Wesllom Synergy Ltd.
Zacharias said the programme was in fulfilment of his campaign promises to empower young people and women to alleviate poverty and create a better standard of living for the people.
“Mechanised farming will not only boost their productivity but will help address the current drudgery that has been ascribed to the youth in agriculture.

“The result of this is that the youths will not only do better in their work but will help boost the food production in Kogi State and subsequently Nigeria,” he said.
A beneficiary, from Idah LGA, Abubakar Usman, said he was grateful for the opportunity and hoped to use the knowledge to further develop himself.
