The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has charged women across the country to work towards ending the domination of women in the society.
Mrs. Tinubu gave the charge yesterday during a sensitisation meeting with wives of local government chairmen and overseers of development areas in Nasarawa State.
The wife of the president, who was represented by the First Lady of Nasarawa State, Mrs Silifat Abdullahi Sule, spoke on the introduction of Mrs Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative in the state, charging government officials particularly women to replicate the programme at the local levels.
Mrs Sule, who spoke on behalf of the president’s wife, explained that the pet project of the Nigeria’s First Lady was targeted at providing succour and relief to vulnerable women and girls in Nigeria.

She said the primary focus of the initiative is to ensure quality education, healthcare, social investment, economic development and agriculture.
In their remarks, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Aisha Rufai Ibrahim, and the leader of the delegation, Mrs. Zainab Aminu Maifata, pledged to support the initiative to succeed, adding that the grassroots women and girl child need the support of the government to ameliorate their sufferings.
