Remains of emir of Zazzau depart army hospital for Zaria

The remains of the late emir of Zaria, Alhaji Shehu Idris has left the 44 Army Referral Hospital, Kaduna for Zaria on Sunday.

The late emir’s remains was conveyed in a white ambulance in the company of top government officials and traditional title holders from Kaduna.

Our correspondent who was at the hospital premises reports that the ambulance exited the hospital through the old gate behind to avoid the crowd that was already building within the premises.

Earlier, traditional title holders from Zaria were seen within the hospital as they waited for the remains of the emir to leave the hospital.

Journalists were barred from taking pictures as solders asked anyone with a camera to leave.
