People plying Otukpo roads in Benue State at the weekend heaved a sigh of relief as contractors handling the repair of Otukpo Township-Enugu highway resumed work on the dilapidated portions.
Daily Trust reports that the roads including the Otukpo roundabouts in Eupi axis of the old town had become a nightmare to not only motorists but residents of the town due to its bad state.

But the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, as gathered, has finally mobilised Rockbridge Construction Company, the company awarded the contract for the dualisation of the Otukpo township road, to return to site.
Deputy Governor of the state, Engr Benson Abounu, who visited the site at the weekend with members of Benue Rebirth Movement (BRM), applauded the federal government for the commencement of rehabilitation works at the Otukpo/Enugu roundabout, from where they would be expected to shift to other bad spots of the roads.
