According to the Interim Management Company (IMC), fixtures slated for week 17 of the 2023 regular season would go as planned although plans to offset outstanding matches for some teams in the league would affect the final day of the season.

According to the fixtures, Gombe United who have 19 points will trade tackles with Enyimba and Akwa United while Kwara United with 14 points battle for their survival against a fellow struggling team, Nasarawa United and Remo Stars.

Nasarawa United with 13 points face Kwara United and high flying Bendel Insurance while El-Kanemi Warriors with 9 points may just bid farewell to NPFL when they play against Akwa United and Plateau United.

In Group B, abysmal Enugu Rangers with 19 points will face Doma United and Rivers United while Wikki Tourists with 12 points have three games with Abia Warriors, Rivers United and Lobi Stars.

It will be noted that four teams will be relegated from the NPFL – two from each group.

Meanwhile, ten other clubs are battling to compete in the Super 6 playoff where the winner of the 2023 season will be decided.

In Group A, surprise comers Bendel Insurance have secured one of three spots that would see them play in the Super 6 even if they lose their remaining games.

Enyimba, Remo Stars, Akwa United and Plateau United are all battling to secure the remaining two slots in the group.

In Group B, Lobi Stars lead the pack with Doma United, Abia Warriors, Rivers United, Niger Tornadoes seeking for the first 3 spots.
