Popular Instagram ‘relationship expert’, Blessing Okoro, known by the handle Blessing CEO, has been remanded in prison for alleged cyber-bullying.

A federal high court sitting in Lagos ordered the remand of the Instagram influencer. According to the Lagos State PPRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a chat with an online media platform, TheCable Lifestyle, on Saturday, said Blessing was arrested by operatives of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).

Rotshang Dimka, the prosecution counsel, told the court on Friday that Blessing used her Instagram page to “bully, threaten and harass” Folashade Samuels, sister to the late Bimbo Ogbonna, wife to IVD.

Moreso, Dimka said Blessing deployed her Instagram handle “to injure the reputation of Folashade Samuels and the late Bimbo Ogbonna, by exposing them to hatred, contempt, and ridicule”, via the internet.

When the charges were read to her, she pleaded not guilty.

In his ruling, Yelim Bogoro, the presiding judge, ordered her to be remanded in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) till May 30 for a hearing of her bail application.

IVD, born Ikechukwu Ogbonna, is a popular Lagos ‘celebrity’ car dealer who has been accused of being responsible for the death of his wife. The businessman’s wife died in a fire that occurred in their house.

However, it had also been alleged that the couple had been in a series of domestic violence in the past, which may have led to the young lady’s death.

A sister to Bimbo had accused IVD of killing his wife at their residence in Lekki.

In January, Blessing addressed her rumoured relationship with the celebrity car dealer.

When contacted, Muyiwa Adejobi, the police spokesperson, told TheCable Lifestyle he would find out more details about the case and give feedback.
