Refugee commission trains IDPs to curtail dependence

The Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) Hajiya Sadiya Farouq yesterday said the commission has commenced empowerment programmes to discouraged IDPs from depending on others.

Hajiya Sadiya, represented by commission’s Head of IDPs, Hajiya Shizzer Nasara Bada during Batch B presentation of working tools to the 314 IDPs trainees of Konduga Local Government Area in Maiduguri yesterday, said they have trained and empowered 914 IDPs in just two local governments and are determined to reach all LGAs in Borno State.
