The Nigerian Postal Services, NIPOST, is poised to make Kano the hub of its e-commerce in the ongoing re-organisation and repositioning to meet the demands of the new generation, the Postmaster-General of the Federation, Dr Ismail Adebayo Adewusi, has said.
Adewusi said this in Kano when he paid a working visit to Kano State State Governor Abdulahi Ganduje, a statement on Thursday from NIPOST said.
He requested the governor to assist NIPOST with the necessary infrastructure for effective and efficient service delivery to the people of Kano State.
Adewusi said the postal service would always value Kano as the state had “impressive business opportunities.”
Ganduje described as outstanding and amazing the survival instinct of NIPOST even at the age of ICT.
He said: “One would have assumed that with the advent of ICT, NIPOST will go into extinction.
“But it has remarkably remained relevant in the midst of all the challenges. NIPOST has an undying extinct for survival.”
